Every year
the Länderfördertagung takes place within the framework of the Diagonale.
Spokespersons of governmental fundings of all nine Austrian states are meeting
up to exchange experiences. Diverse
goals and possibilities of governmental fundings at federal and land level in
regard to films are going to be discussed. This years
topic will deal with the Creative Industries.
Creative
Industries comprises following areas besides Film Industries: Music Industries,
architecture, literature, Publishing Industries and Print Media, graphics,
design, fashion, museums and libraries, advertisement, multimedia, software,
games, art market, fine and performing arts. The audio-visual sector, obtaining
most of its inputs out of many industries, represents the core area of the
Creative Industries.
Creative
Industries are seen as a the motor of modern economies. Politico-economic
betterment as well as increasing regional and civic attractiveness are
important aspects of the Creative Industries.
To point
out this development, some regional and national funding instruments have been
build up in Austria to enhance innovative ideas and to provide an opportunity
to be a part of the marketability. Next to advancing main projects of the
Creative Industries, they can also be seen as contact persons for Creative
Economy businesses to create an environment for enhancing creativity and
innovations and for expanding interactions between Creative Industries and the
economy.
Spokespersons
of these governmental fundings are introducing different initiatives and are
discussing goals, guidelines and effects, which can be achieved.
